I haven’t spoken to the terrible violence of these last days because, frankly, I’m at a loss. My amazing students, friends and eldest child have said all the words about race and privilege and #blacklivesmatter and we are all in agreement, so I don’t think it’s entirely necessary for me to repeat what others have said so beautifully, so powerfully and so fiercely.
